Fabrizio Giuliani: Who I am
Who is Fabrizio Giuliani?
Fabrizio Giuliani has been practicing Vipassana meditation for over 25 years in the Mahasi tradition and the Thai Forest tradition.
After graduating from high school in Italy, he moved to London and then to Australia, where he studied cultural anthropology at the University of Sydney . His thesis was on the study of shamanism in Colombia , reflecting his interest in spiritual traditions and practices of consciousness transformation.
After graduating, he moved to India, where he taught English to a community of Tibetan monks and refugees. This experience profoundly affected his personal and spiritual journey.
For the next four years, he lived and traveled in Asia, practicing meditation intensively in Burma, Nepal, and Thailand . During this period, he devoted much of his time to practicing Vipassana meditation according to the teachings of Mahasi Sayadaw and the Thai Forest Tradition of Ajahn Chah.
He subsequently returned to Australia, where he continued his practice at the Blue Mountains Insight Meditation Centre near Sydney.
In 2012, he moved to the United States, where he continued to practice and study with various meditation communities, including Vipassana Hawai'i , the Insight Meditation Society (IMS) in Massachusetts, and practice centers in Canada. During this time, he also lived at Robert Aitken's Palolo Zen Center on O'ahu, Hawaii.
Over the years, he has had the honor of practicing with teachers who have dedicated their lives to the Dharma. Among them:

Michele McDonald (Vipassana Hawai'i)
Sayadaw Vivekananda (Lumbini, Nepal)
Thanissara and Kittisaro (South Africa and California)
He continues to practice with some of them and has received authorization to teach.
Together with Lynne Bousfield he continues to teach Vipassana meditation retreats in Australia and Bali .
Fabrizio has also completed a course of study on compassion in the Mahayana and Theravada traditions and is a certified MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) instructor with qualification from UCSD – University of California San Diego .
His Dharma teachings have a strong practical orientation. It is based on direct experience gained through years of intensive practice on the meditation cushion and the integration of mindfulness into daily life.
His lineage of practice is rooted in Vipassana meditation as taught by Mahasi Sayadaw and the Thai Forest Tradition of Ajahn Chah .
Through courses, retreats, and individual mindfulness coaching, her goal is to help people develop awareness, emotional stability, and more authentic relationships.
Meditation is not something you have to believe in.
It's something you can verify directly in your own experience.
