After the course

You can continue practicing with our meditation group—find out more here.

We spend much of our lives running away from what we don't like and clinging to what we do like.
But this dynamic, in the long run, generates unhappiness, because we have no control over external events.
What we love is impermanent; what we hate, sometimes, persists.

Here is the nature of suffering… but also the path to the “cure”.

With Vipassanā meditation , we learn to live with whatever happens.
The suffering we previously avoided begins to show itself, but not to hurt us—but to be finally understood.
The key is not to reject, but to become friends with pain : an act of courage and freedom.

With practice, an intuitive, non-intellectual wisdom is born, which helps us see reality as it is, and not as the mind tells it.
It is this clear vision that, over time, dissolves the mental patterns that hold us prisoners.

Books on meditation are valuable, but they are no substitute for living practice.
Your best teacher will always be your own direct experience.
